JTL School, Hotel, and Hydrotherapy Pool and JTL Hot Tub Operator training Programmes (Special price for the Dual Product)

There are occasions where an organisation has swimming pools (or hydrotherapy pools), and hot tubs situated on the same site. HSG179 advises that the training that a swimming pool operator undertakes should be suitable, sufficient, and current for them, and the JTL School, Hotel, and Hydrotherapy pool Training Programme is specifically created for those who work with small pools with plant rooms, but it does not go into the required detail for hot tub operation to satisfy the Health and Safety Executive. HSG282 guidelines apply to hot tubs, and these guidelines are covered in much more detail in the Hot Tub Operator Training Programme. This then creates a situation where to satisfy the Health and Safety Executive, a pool operator will be required to provide evidence of training for both types of pool. The individual training courses are specific for each type of pool, due to the fact that swimming pools and hot tubs are very different in the type of plant used, the chemicals used, the chemical levels, the legal responsibilities, etc… Essentially, although maintaining water quality is similar for both pools and hot tubs, the chemical level parameters and upkeep are very different, and applying one set of learning to the other will make it unsafe for bathers.
