We would expect the course to be completed and passed within 4 weeks of enrolment. If, however, this is not possible, you must be made aware that there is a 12-month time limit on the training programme. If the course is not completed within 12 months, the link will expire, and you will be removed from the course.
Programme Outline:
This is an online version of the full JTL Level 3 Pool Plant Operator Certificate Course. It is the same high quality you have come to expect from Johnson Training Ltd, but studied from the comfort of your own home or office and at your own speed.
The course comprises of Jim Johnson teaching the material over a series of PowerPoint Presentation. It is separated into chapters for ease of learning and there will be regular mini-tests to consolidate learning.
The course comprises of four units.
The course is supplemented by a number of plant related videos.
On completion of the course, you will receive the  JTL Level 3 Pool Plant Operators Certificate.
Pre-requisites:
You must be 18 years old at the start of the programme.
This is one of a series of programmes developed for a specific market where attendance at a typical pool plant course is not possible or would not be helpful.
Assessment:
The programme is assessed by completing multiple choice tests for each of the units.
Guided learning hours:
The suggested guided learning hours for this programme are: 15 hours. But, because the training programme is delivered online, you can work at your own speed in the convenience of your own workplace.
Progression:
If you require a regulated qualification, please contact us before starting this programme to discuss upgrading to the Active IQ Level 3 Award in Managing Pool Operations (RQF).
Certificate
Once all the lessons have been marked by you as completed, and the quizzes successfully passed, the certificate will then be available to view next to the results tab.
Guidance on successfully completing this course:
- We recommend logging in using Google Chrome to view the lessons, as other browsers have shown a tendancy to buffer more often.
- However long you have been in the business, please do watch every video and read the manual
- Don’t assume you already know everything there is to know
- At the start of every unit there is a manual to download. This is something you can keep and refer to whenever you need to
- Every lesson is a video PowerPoint presentation for you to watch
- Once you have watched it, press Complete Lesson to move onto the next lesson
- Each unit is assessed by a multiple-choice quiz. This is graded automatically.
- Move onto the next lesson by scrolling to the bottom and clicking on ‘complete lesson’
- You must watch every video to pass the course
- You have to score at least 80% on each quiz, and 100% on the final quiz to pass the course
- If you fail to achieve the require pass mark, the quiz will be reset, and you will be able to re-take it
- The final quiz at the end has a pass mark of 100%. This is because is contains questions relating to the fundamentals of pool operations, which if answered wrongly could result in injury, or harm to pool users.
- When you have finished, you will find your certificate under ‘My Courses’
- If you get stuck at any point, click on the ‘My Courses’ tab at the top of the screen, or select a course lesson from the right hand side of the screen.
- If the course is suggesting you haven’t completed 100% by the end, make sure you have clicked ‘complete lesson’ on each lesson.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Please note that in order to maintain the integrity of the qualification and to safeguard against fraud, only the name of the person registered to undertake the training will be named on the certificate.
