Programme Outline:
This course consists of 2 Units.
The first unit is the introduction to the principles of pool water testing. why we test the water, and the importance in maintaining good pool water quality.
The second unit provides you with the knowledge and skills required to be able to competently carry out pool water testing and to understand how to interpret pool readings.
The training programme comprises of Jim Johnson teaching the material over a series of PowerPoint Presentations. It is separated into chapters for ease of learning and there are regular mini-tests to consolidate learning.
On completion of the course, you will receive the JTL Principles and Practice of Pool Water Testing Training Programme Certificate.
You can progress from this programme to the JTL School, Hotel, and Hydrotherapy Pool Operator Training Programme by completing one further unit.
This programme is externally endorsed by Active IQ, the leading awarding organisation in the active leisure sector, and also by CIMSPA, the Chartered Institute for the leisure industry,
Pre-requisites:
Learners must be over the age of 18 at the start date of the course.
This is one of a series of programmes developed for a specific market where attendance at a typical pool plant course is not possible or would not be helpful, but can be delivered face-to-face where appropriate.
Assessment:
The programme is assessed by completing an online multiple choice quiz.
Guided learning hours:
The suggested guided learning hours for this programme are 6 hours, but, because the training programme is delivered online, you can work at your own speed in the convenience of your own workplace.
Certificate
Once you have viewed all the lessons, and they have been ticked by you as completed, and the quiz successfully passed, the certificate will then be available to view next to the results tab. The certificate will not be created unless all lessons have been completed and ticked.

Please note that in order to maintain the integrity of the qualification and to safeguard against fraud, only the name of the person registered to undertake the training will be named on the certificate.
