Qualification Specification
This unit is part of the JTL Pool Technical Management CPD Training Programme which is specially designed programme delivered at a notional Level 4, but it is available as a standalone programme. It has been newly revised and updated for our online delivery platform.
Unit Aims
The focus of this unit is the need for the pool plant operator/manager to be able to carry out technical calculations to support their role in the management of swimming pools.
By understanding how to do these calculations it will provide added knowledge and understanding of the principles and concepts involved and it will further develop analytical skills which can be used in other contexts.
Good Practice is Good Business
Managers and technical staff involved in pool management tend to shy away from calculations, but there is no need to do so.
The calculations which are required in order to understand how swimming pools are designed and operate are not complex, and this section addresses how to approach typical technical calculations.
Before embarking on this section, it would be helpful to establish the following in connection with the types of calculations which are required in swimming pool technology.
The unit is delivered online on our own online training platform.
Target Learners
This course is primarily aimed at Facility Managers, Compliance Managers, and technical operatives that have completed a Level 3 Pool Plant Operator Training Programme, and wish to increase their knowledge and improve their management skills.
This unit can be completed by any qualified Pool Pllant Operator that wants to progress their development by completing this as part of their CPD.
