JTL Principles and Practice of Pool Water Testing REFRESHER Training Programme:
Programme Outline:
As the content of our training programmes is regularly reviewed and updated to reflect current industry guidance, best practice and requirements, when purchasing this refresher course we will enrol you onto the most recent version of the CIMSPA-endorsed training programme but at a reduced course price.
This programme contains the 1st unit in a series of presentations developed by Johnson Training Ltd, and comprises of Jim Johnson (company director), and Matthew Johnson, teaching the material over a PowerPoint Presentation. It is separated into chapters for ease of learning and there are regular mini-tests to consolidate learning.
On successful completion, you will receive a new JTL Principles and Practice of Pool Water Testing Certificate endorsed by CIMSPA
You can progress from this programme to the JTL School, Hotel, and Hydrotherapy Pool Operator Training Programme by completing one further unit.
Pre-requisites:
You must have completed the JTL Principles and Practice of pool water testing certificate (formally recognised as the JTL Foundation Certificate), or a similar Level 2 Pool Operator training programme within the last 3 years. If your certificate has recently expired, please contact us directly to discuss the options available to you.
This is one of a series of programmes developed for a specific market where attendance at a typical pool plant course is not possible or would not be helpful.
Assessment:
The programme is assessed by completing an online multiple-choice quiz.
Guided learning hours:
The suggested guided learning hours for this programme are: 4 hours. But, because the training programme is delivered online, you can work at your own speed in the convenience of your own workplace.
Certificate
The quiz is marked automatically, and once all the lessons have been marked by you as completed, and the quiz successfully passed, the certificate will then be available to view by clicking on the My Courses tab.

However long you have been in the business, please do watch every video and read the manual
Don’t assume you already know everything there is to know
At the start of every unit there is a manual to download. This is something you can keep and refer to whenever you need to
Every lesson is a video PowerPoint presentation for you to watch
Once you have watched it, press Complete Lesson to move onto the next lesson
You will not be able to progress to the next lesson until the previous one has been marked as conplete
You can go back and rewatch any lesson that has been previously watched at any time
Each unit is assessed by a multiple-choice quiz. This is graded automatically.
You must watch every video to pass the course
You have to score at least 80% on the quiz to pass the course
If you fail to achieve 80%, the quiz will be reset, and you will be able to re-take it
When you have finished, you will find your certificate under ‘My Courses’
You can also review your quiz answers under ‘My Courses’ and see where you went wrong
If you get stuck at any point, click on the arrow at the bottom of the screen which says ‘go back to [course title], or alternatively, go to ‘My Courses’ and click on the course title to see the lessons
If the course is suggesting you haven’t completed 100% by the end, make sure you have clicked ‘complete lesson’ on each lesson.
Target Learners
